Eng. Promises too good to be true? 1/5

"You want credit, I no give. You get mad. I give credit, you no pay - I get mad. Better you get mad."
Confucius

Thing is that there's a world full of people seeking for easy money. I'll be the first one to tell everyone that I'm one of them. But I want to earn it somehow, without actually ripping someone off. There's also a group of people specializing in giving you false promises. They can be seperated further, from my point of view, in two groups:

1) Those that promise you great returns with no risk in a relatively short time perioid
2) Those that promise you returns with some risk in the long run

Number 1 is easy to spot since the case is usually "too good to be true" in a nutshell. Number 2 is a lot harder and I'll get around that one in some other post, but this post is about the group number one.

There's a publicly traded company in the United States of America, the land of the free. Actually there's quite many of them but what I'm now all about is called Cellceutix Corporation. Here's a link to it CTIX (link to Nasdaq site, opens in a new window) for those that know how stuff works. So the company is legit and exists and they have some really cool pharmaceutical products coming up.

There's also another company located in Paris called Westward Group (I'll abbreviate it WG from now on to save some letters + one other reason you will discover in later posts!) I don't know a lot about them but they tell me they're a private banking company. You can copypaste the name in Google and it'll be right there at the top of the list thanks to some clever search optimization tricks they've made (I'll get around those too later). A little intro about WG is in place: They claim to have been around since 1998 - which is pretty much from the beginning of the Internet times as we know it (ok www was made a few years earlier) - and they claim that they're an offshore investiment company that specializes on merging and acquisition of businesses.

Thats cool for WG. Now the introductions are pretty much over.

Here ends the first part of this post. Second part will be online during tuesday 19th nov. 2013. This series of posts is about these companies and its divided in five segments that I've already written and they'll become online on fridays and tuesdays for the rest of november.
